Xaquixe creates glass pieces that are rich in form and balanced in colour while attaining sustainability. It's eco-conscious production uses recycled products from regional village communities. A mixture of cooking oil and glass waste is the formula for Xaquixe workshop to create their crystal-quality glass, using 95% recycled material.
The workshop saves up 50% energy when processing a ton of glass every month. The discarded glass is crushed and melted thanks to the frying oil, before being blown. Each piece is handmade by craftsmen in Oaxaca, thus promoting the growth of the local economy.
