As the international crisis sparked by COVID-19 shines a light on the necessity to focus on increasingly sustainable solutions for the future, our present and the people around us also need attention. Our business has at its core to partner with sustainable brands and projects, and today we have decided to back initiatives that make us all more human and connected with our societies especially during difficult times. We want to share with you here below some projects that resonate with our values and we are sure yours too.

As part of this initiative, we will be revealing weekly one project we have picked to help with you help. Already being able to keep our brands and their studios and communities afloat is part of the challenge we are facing. But we can always do more for our planet, our surroundings, our people, to participate in the molding of the tomorrow we wish to live in.

So for the first collaboration, we are highlighting the importance of food, nurturing, and recovery. For all of us food lovers, and the ones that just love home, we have decided to donate the proceeds of our lifestyle collection pieces to Comidas Solidarias - Solidary Meals - an initiative bringing together some of the best chefs of Mexico City cooking with fair trade and clean produce for doctors, patients, and their families in need.

Secondly, as we all count the days of confinement, we have a special thought for those who have been counting for days, months, and even years, prior to us all experiencing it. Some of you may know that the 85° tote bag is hand made freely by the women trained by Promujeres Cautivas in their self-run studio in a jail south of Mexico City. Promujeres Cautivas is association that brings education, emotional and psychological support, and fair-paid jobs to women in jails. Today, as we worry about women in vulnerable and locked situations, and want to increase our venture with them, we have allocated the proceeds of our Caralarga jewellery collection to them so these women can continue to count on fair earnings, support families outside of jail, buy their sanitary products, and hope for better days.
