Founded in 1970, Cano was created by highly skilled artisans using the same ancient methods practiced by indigenous goldsmiths, including lost wax casting, hammering, bas-relief and high-relief in 24k gold-plated brass, 18k gold and .925 sterling silver. Through generations, the Cano family has been able to rediscover and reproduce traditional pre-Hispanic jewellery and art pieces. Cano's use of these methods not only facilitates authentic reproductions, but also maintains the spirit of the pre-Hispanic craftsmen. Creative Director Paula Mendoza gracefully marries the DNA of the brand with a contemporary approach.
